The Untold Story of American Valor: Behind “The Outpost”

10 am PDT

The Outpost, which has been #1 on VOD since its release on July 4th weekend, tells the true story of a small team of US soldiers who battled the Taliban against all odds in Afghanistan. Based on Jake Tapper’s 2012 novel, the movie begs the question: is there such a thing as pointless sacrifice?

Join producer and Co-President of Millennium Films, Jonathan Yunger, who also plays SFC Jonathan Hill in the film, and actor Taylor John Smith, who plays First Lt. Andrew Bundermann, in conversation with Rabbi Sherre Hirsch.

Taylor John Smith is quickly proving himself to be one of the most exciting emerging talents in Hollywood. He most recently starred in the rugged war drama, The Outpost, opposite Caleb Landry Jones, Orlando Bloom, and Scott Eastwood (based on the book by CNN’s Jake Tapper). He can also be seen as the emotionally charged John Keene opposite Amy Adams in the HBO limited series Sharp Objects, directed by Jean-Marc Vallee and based off Gillian Flynn's best-selling novel. His performance placed him on Variety's 10 Actors to Watch.
