Camp Alonim: A Place Where Judaism Comes Alive
Since 1953, Camp Alonim has been a home where children thrive, friendships flourish, and Judaism comes alive in joyful and lasting ways. Located on American Jewish University’s 2,700-acre Brandeis-Bardin Campus, Camp Alonim is more than a summer camp — it is a laboratory for living Judaism. Here, campers sing, dance, create, play, explore nature, and engage in Judaism woven seamlessly into daily life. Download our brochure here.

The Opportunity Ahead: Capital Campaign
We are embarking on a bold $28 million capital campaign.
Your philanthropic investment secures the future of Camp Alonim and the countless Jewish journeys it inspires. Thanks to committed community members, we are already halfway to our goal. We invite you to join us in reaching the finish line.
The Next Chapter: A Modernized Footprint
For more than 70 years, Camp Alonim has shaped Jewish journeys. Now, we are building toward the future with a modernized facility to ensure the magic continues to inspire the next generation.
Our Key Projects
We are updating our facilities to create a safe, sustainable, and modern environment that enhances the camp experience.
Project One: A Modern Home for Campers (The New Camper Village)
The new Camper Village is the heart of our campaign. This vibrant, modern home for the next generations features 13 duplex cabins (26 bunks), designed with durable and sustainable materials.
Key Features & Sustainability:
- Ventilation and air conditioning for comfort
- Solar energy integration
- Sustainable construction and native landscaping
- Play areas, ramps, and gathering spaces that foster connection and belonging
- Seamlessly integrates with the camp experience, located with direct access to Terry Field and the Pritzker Dining Hall.
Project Two: The Gateway Hub (The New Welcome Center)
Equally transformative is the new Welcome Center. This central hub serves as the new gateway for all summer and year-round visitors, staff, families, and guests.
The Welcome Center Provides:
- A warm and welcoming entry point to Camp Alonim
- A central drop-off and pick-up location
- A multi-use space for programs and gatherings
Invest in the Journey
These investments are more than buildings; they are the foundation for lifelong memories, lasting friendships, and the Jewish journeys of thousands of children and families for decades to come.
Your gift is an investment in children, in Jewish identity, and in a future where Judaism comes alive in new and vibrant ways.
Join us. Together, we will write the next chapter of Camp Alonim.
