American Jewish University Promotes Danielle Sassman to Associate Provost, Institutional Effectiveness

American Jewish University (AJU) announces the promotion of Danielle Sassman to the position of Associate Provost, Institutional Effectiveness.

Sassman, who joined AJU in 2020, has led the University’s efforts in institutional research, assessment, accreditation, and academic operations with distinction. In her new role, she will oversee strategic academic initiatives, data-informed planning, and student success programming across the University. She will continue to supervise the University Registrar and Director of Assessment and guide institutional improvement efforts across academic and administrative units. She also serves as Vice Dean of Operations for AJU’s Masor School for Jewish Education and Leadership.

“Danielle brings a unique combination of analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and heart to her work,” said Dr. Robbie Totten, AJU Provost. “Her leadership has helped AJU strengthen our academic foundation and build the kind of learning environment where students and faculty can thrive. As Associate Provost, she will continue to shape the future of AJU’s academic excellence and student-centered innovation.”

Sassman has published on topics ranging from student retention to post-pandemic learning design and is a frequent presenter at national and regional conferences, including the WSCUC ARC, the CLN Learning Conference, and AJU’s own Scholar Symposium. She is a 2024 Momentum Fellow and a 2025 participant in the President as Entrepreneur and Administrators as Entrepreneurs Workshop, highlighting her role as a national leader in higher education transformation.

Her promotion comes at a pivotal time for American Jewish University, as the institution sharpens its singular focus on the Jewish future and the development of visionary Jewish leadership. AJU continues to elevate the Jewish journey through rigorous scholarship, thought leadership, and accessible learning opportunities that reach individuals and communities across the country and around the world.
