Advancing AJU's Future with the Sale of the Familian Campus

Aerial view of AJU Familian Campus

Dear Friends,

The Board of Directors of American Jewish University last week approved the sale of the Familian campus to the Milken Community School. We look forward to working in the weeks ahead with the Milken leadership to complete the sale. While the sale is not yet complete, we are very excited about this opportunity – and its potential to significantly advance the missions of both AJU and Milken.

There will be many details to share with you once we return from winter break. We did want to highlight that the arrangement with Milken, should it be finalized, allows AJU to remain on the Familian campus for at least three years and to continue to operate the community mikvah for at least that long. The move of the Ziegler School to 350 South Beverly will continue as planned.

This is an important milestone in a long process that we believe will result in a greatly strengthened AJU.

With best wishes for 2024,

Jeffrey Herbst
