Camp Alonim Receives Yedid Nefesh Grant

Camp Alonim is among 32 grant recipients selected from more than 90 applicants to be awarded funds to address mental health at day and overnight camps.  As part of the first round of a ground breaking Yedid Nefiesh grant, an initiative of the Foundation for Jewish Camp, made possible by the generosity of The Marcus Foundation, these funds will help Camp Alonim address the mental, emotional and social health (MESH) needs of campers and staff. This initiative addresses the increasing challenges campers and staff face as it relates to MESH with a multi-faceted, whole-person approach. Funds will be used to hire qualified mental health professionals, and will be directed to counselor training and wellness programming, such as meditation, yoga, and journaling.  Read the full article here.
