Emma has worked in the field of Jewish early child education for twelve years. She has a certificate in Jewish Early Childhood Education from Gratz College and earned her master’s degree in Early Childhood Education at American Jewish University in a cohort generously funded by the Rodan Family Foundation. She participated in the Jewish Early Childhood Education Leadership Initiative, (JECELI) in the San Francisco Bay Area Cohort.

For three years Emma served as a teacher and a Jewish Resource Specialist (JRS), a leadership program originated by the San Francisco Jewish Community Federation’s Jewish Early Childhood and Family Engagement Initiative. As the JRS, she worked to deepen Jewish learning and engage families in Jewish life. Emma has been the director of Gan Shalom for three years. An alumna of Gan Shalom herself, Emma knows how important a Jewish education is and is passionate about helping the next generation of American Jews form their Jewish identity.
