    Donna Cecil has been working in early childhood education for over 25 years. She is currently an Adjunct Faculty member in Child Development at Palomar College and within the San Diego Community College District. She began her career at Marine World Africa USA, where she introduced animals to preschools in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has since served as an early childhood educator for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, as well as a program director overseeing campus laboratory schools for the San Diego Community College District. Donnaearned her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University in Portland and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Jose State University. In addition to her teaching and administrative roles, she has been actively involved in California statewide advocacy and professional organizations. She serves as Vice President of Public Policy for California Community College Early Childhood Educators (CCCECE), Public Policy Lead for PEACH, and has presented at CAAEYC and other state and local events. Donna is dedicated to preparing the next generation of early childhood educators through accessible, inclusive, and equity-centered teaching.
