In 2018, Arts at AJU launched The Project Room, a new exhibition space that delves into the collection with exhibitions and programs exploring its themes and histories. Artists and curators will be invited into the space to offer their own investigations. The first exhibition, Re:Formation of the Jewish Body, is curated by L.A. based Israeli curator Sagi Refael. The exhibition examines the cultural perception and transformation of the Jewish male body via its emergence in pop culture and media, modernist and contemporary art, and ephemera and sports, from the early twentieth century to the present.
