Wendy A. Horwitz and Michael Berenbaum explore Jewish rituals and share stories about celebration, loss, and change.

Join us for a heartfelt conversation with author Wendy A. Horwitz as she shares insights from her new book, Milkweed and Honey Cake: A Memoir in Ritual Moments. Through moving and often humorous reflections, Horwitz and AJU’s Professor Michael Berenbaum explore how Jewish ritual can elevate the everyday—and offer solace when the world feels fractured. Whether you’re reimagining old traditions or creating new ones, this conversation will inspire you to see ritual not just as a practice, but as a path toward resilience, connection, and wonder.

As a nonprofit educational institution, American Jewish University relies on support from people like you. Your donation today helps us continue connecting you to the programs you love, no matter where in the world you are.
