Join Nick Sayers as we delve into his personal journey to uncover the history of Jewish life in Lithuania. Through a blend of family history and historical analysis, this class addresses key questions about Jewish migration, resilience, and tragedy. Why did so many Jews settle in Lithuania in the late 19th century? What challenges led some to emigrate, while others remained? And how did the Jewish community rebuild after 96% were murdered during WWII? This conversation will not only examine the darker chapters of Lithuania’s Jewish history but also highlight the enduring cultural and intellectual contributions of Lithuanian Jews across the world.
