Unveiling Shtisel: Writers and Actors Explore the Creative Process

9:30am PDT

Join Ori Elon, creator and writer of Shtisel, and Ayelet Zurer, who plays the widow Elisheva Rotstein, for an intimate look behind the scenes of Shtlisel. They have managed to create an improbable global success by empathetically portraying a population almost unknown to even many Israelis. Ori and Ayelet will discuss specific scenes in order to illuminate a creative process invisible to the audience but critical to actors bringing to life Orthodox characters who seek to avoid the glare of the outside world. In discussion with AJU President Jeffrey Herbst.

Please note: Per our panelists' request, this event's recording will not be distributed following the program.
