The Middle East Beyond the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: Ask me Anything!

12pm - 12:45pm

The Middle East today is beset by conflict, as simultaneous and overlapping wars stretching from Libya to Syria to Yemen further destabilize the region. Though Israel is largely not involved in these conflicts, the country is inevitably affected by these developments. From the rise of ISIS to the effort to combat Iran, Jordan will briefly discuss the latest developments in the region and answer any of your burning questions. Whether you are a novice or an armchair expert, any and all questions are welcome!

Jordan Reimer is currently a policy analyst at RAND, in the Defense and Political Sciences Department. He has an MPA from the Woodrow Wilson School and served as a Middle East and counterterrorism analyst at the State Department, Department of Defense, and the New York City Police Department. He is also a course instructor on conflict and insurgency in the post-Arab Spring Middle East, including at New York University.
