Join us online to discuss a classic Jewish-themed short story for the month of June: Philip Roth's, "Defender of the Faith" from his first book, Goodbye, Columbus. A Jewish-American army sergeant near the end of the Second World War first helps and later resists a Jewish soldier trainee who tries to use their shared ethnicity to wheedle favors, including keeping him out of the Pacific conflict after the war in Europe is over.
