Israeli State and Society Through the Documentary Lens: Week One

Monday, 4pm-5pm PDT

Prerequisite Note: Due to the virtual setting of this class, you must have computer capability, including internet access, in order to participate. A camera is also optimal but not required.

Join us for Week One of this documentary series.

This series explores different issues in Israel society, and different parts of Israeli society, seen through three outstanding documentaries that transcend media headlines and delve into the lives of everyday Israelis – and Palestinians.

Following online home screenings of the film, there will be a Zoom discussion by award-winning documentary filmmaker and academic Dr. Danny Ben-Moshe (www.identity-films.com) who will discuss both the subject matter of the films and the style and approach of the film’s documentary storytelling.
