Prerequisite Note: Due to the virtual setting of this class, you must have computer capability, including internet access, in order to participate. A camera is also optimal but not required.
In this class we will discuss the books of Daniel (2 classes), Jonah and Ruth. Daniel, Jonah and Ruth are all thrust into difficult situations over which they have no control. How is each character able to navigate the difficulties of his/her situation and cope with danger?
For each book we will discuss the theological implications involved in the main character's loss of stability and attempts to regain control of his/her life. How does Daniel's ability to interpret dreams save his life? Why does Jonah run from God? How does Ruth become the consummate example of a convert to Judaism?
Join us for a class of lively and fun discussions.
