This new book tells of the exploits of a small group of men who became Israel’s first spies. The tiny, amateur unit known as the “Arab Section” were Jews from Arab countries with blurry identities that enabled them to cross ethnic lines during wartime. Their story offers a very different take on Israel's creation and what the country is today.
