Event Details

The story of Japanese diplomat Chiune Sugihara, Consul to Lithuania during World War II, who defied Tokyo authorities and wrote transit visas allowing Jewish families to flee Europe to Japan and other countries.

Post-screening discussion with Dr. Michael Berenbaum, Director, AJU’s Sigi Ziering Institute for Holocaust Studies in conversation with Diane Estelle Vicari and Robert Kirk, the film’s producers and directors, and Akira Chiba, Consul General of Japan in Los Angeles.
