Leadership and Communication for a Partisan Time: Rabbi Dr. Bradley Shavit Artson in conversation with contemporary thought leader Gary Orren, Ph.D., Professor of Politics and Leadership, Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.

During this tumultuous and partisan time, we seek communication strategies to lead with conviction and to express our principals in a way that keeps conversations constructive. Our two scholars have studied these issues from distinctive perspectives, with academic research and millennial Jewish wisdom. Together, they will guide us in this timely exploration about how to approach these contentious  national debates in order to help us participate effectively in these discussions.

Rabbi Dr. Bradley Shavit Artson is Abner and Roslyn Goldstein Dean's Chair of the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies and Vice President of AJU. He is the author of 12 books, most recently Renewing the Process of Creation: A Jewish Integration of Science and Spirit.

Gary Orren, Ph.D., is V.O. Key Jr. Professor of Politics and Leadership at the Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University, where he has taught fro 44 years, and is currently a visiting Professor of Public Policy at UCLA. A leading expert on public opinion, politics, and persuasion, his books include: Equality in America: The View from the Top; The Electronic Commonwealth: The Impact of New Media Technologies on Democratic Politics; Media Polls in American Politics; and Media and Momentum: The New Hampshire Primary and Nomination Politics.
