Meet Jaquan Bonner, the Facilities Manager at American Jewish University. Jaquan is a current student at SEMSI, and graduates in 2023. He hopes to learn how to sharpen his management and leadership skills and be given all the tools needed to effectively run an organization and make good business decisions. Read on to learn about why SEMSI was the best fit for him.

What does being ethical in business mean to you?
Having ethical business practices shows that an organization cares about the people and communities that they serve just as much as they care about making money. There are so many organizations that offer the same products or services, I like to support organizations that have integrity and do right by people and the planet.
What are your future ambitions? What are you striving for in your career?
My goal is to create a real estate development business that I can pass on to my daughter.
What advice would you give to an incoming student?
My advice to anyone looking to join SEMSI is that you won't regret it. It's catered to those who think they're too busy to go back to school. The structure of SEMSI is built for your success. The only way you'd fail is if you get in your own way.

Why did you choose SEMSI for business school?
I chose SEMSI because it offered me the ability to enhance my skills and obtain an MBA at a pace I could manage, while I balance my busy work life with my personal life.
