Dr. Sara Smith is the Assistant Dean of the Graduate Center for Jewish Education. She earned her PhD from New York University and M.A. and B.A. degrees from Brandeis University.

As Jewish educators, we are constantly thinking creatively in order to help our learners access curriculum. In a recent Virtual Salon, Lisa Clumeck Graef (MAEd, ’14) shared with us how using various forms of art tremendously impacts the learning experience. She discussed how we can help our students expand their understanding of what it means to be artistic and how to shape settings that allow for creative exploration throughout the learning process.
