Matthew Bahamonde is the Chair of the Department of Bioethics and Natural Sciences. He has spent 15 years as a faculty member teaching biology to both science and non-majors. He has extensive experience developing curricula and advising students, particularly those interested in careers in the health professions. Prior to entering academia he spent time as a research scientist in the pharmaceutical industry. His research interests include biotechnology and the philosophy of science. Additionally, as part of the Core Curriculum, he developed and teaches the course Science and Society.
