Founded in 1953, Camp Alonim was created as part of AJU’s “laboratory for living Judaism”—where campers experience Judaism in everything they do, and experiment with their Judaism in new and exciting ways.

The CIT (Counselor-in-Training) program at Camp Alonim is a teen leadership experience that develops skills in mentorship, responsibility, and community-building by giving participants hands-on training and guided opportunities to work with campers and staff in a supportive camp environment.

Campers enjoy full days packed with new experiences, from camp classics like bunk life and pool games to Alonim’s take on hands-on Jewish learning. Sessions range from one week to over a month.
