Prof. Steven Windmueller’s parents fled Nazi Germany in 1938. On the 82nd anniversary of Kristallnacht, the horrific night of devastation that claimed the life of Jewish communities, join him as he speaks to this moment and its effect on Jews both in America and worldwide, as well as his much anticipated volume on President Trump and American Jews.

Dr. Steven Windmueller is the Rabbi Alfred Gottschalk Emeritus Professor of Jewish Communal Service at HUC-JITR. From June of 2006 until June of 2010, he served as the Dean of HUC-JIR's Skirball Campus in Los Angeles. In March of 2009, he was appointed to the Rabbi Alfred Gottschalk Chair in Jewish Communal Service and he served in that role until his retirement.

He graduated with honors from Harvard College and New York University Law School. He has written for Commentary, The Jewish Journal, The Jewish Review of Books, Mosaic Magazine, The New York Post, The New York Sun and other publications, and is the author of the chapter on American Zionism in What America Owes the Jews, What Jews Owe America
