Office of Institutional Effectiveness
The Office of Institutional Effectiveness advances American Jewish University’s mission by strengthening academic quality, institutional integrity, and continuous improvement. OIE provides leadership in assessment, institutional research, planning, and accreditation—ensuring AJU operates with clarity, accountability, and purpose.
OIE is anchored in two core areas: Institutional Research and Assessment.
Institutional Research
We collect, analyze, and share data that informs both daily operations and long-term strategy. Our work supports planning, decision-making, and transparency—equipping university leadership and the public with meaningful, accessible information about AJU’s performance and progress.
Assessment
AJU employs a systematic, evidence-based assessment process to drive improvement across the institution. Data informs program evaluation, strategic planning, and institutional effectiveness, creating a continuous cycle of learning and growth. Key areas of assessment include:
- Institutional Learning Outcomes – Evaluating how students achieve the knowledge, skills, and dispositions expected of AJU graduates.
- Program Learning Outcomes – Measuring how courses and curricula advance each program’s stated goals.
- Academic Program Review – Conducting comprehensive self-studies to strengthen academic quality and align programs with institutional priorities.
- Student Services Outcomes Assessment – Assessing how student-facing departments meet their objectives and support student success.
At AJU, assessment is not compliance-driven—it is mission-driven, ensuring that our programs and services consistently reflect our values and prepare students to lead with impact.
