The Registrar Course
at Andrew Jackson University

The Office of the Registrar (i.e., the registrar) serves the entire school community by providing timely and efficient registration and records maintenance services in relation to and in support of all instructional programs.  This support involves the management and administration of a wide range of record-keeping services for both currently and previously enrolled students and fosters a close working relationship between the registrar, the faculty, and the staff of the institution.

The overall objective for this course is the professional development and ongoing training for registrars in higher education.  The course outlines the basic activities typical of the registrar (and possibly some admissions personnel) at any postsecondary institution, reviews commonly accepted standards and practices in higher education, and serves as a springboard for professional development by introducing resources for further study.  A foundation is provided for understanding what a registrar does, how, why, and particularly within the more specific context of an online institution.

The cost for DETC members is $50.00 and for non-members it is $99.00.
